traditional joinery techniques enhances our contemporary as well as our

Family Furniture products are crafted from select solid woods.
Sustainable North American hardwoods predominate, with an emphasis on
American Black Cherry, Tiger Maple and Birdseye Maple. Each project is
produced by hand using the finest joinery techniques. Among these are
dovetailed drawers and cases, mortise tenon and pegged joints, lipped
drawers and doors plus beaded or paneled backs, to mention a few. |

Family Furniture is offered in various hand-rubbed finishes;
a natural oil finish, and a range of flat to gloss lacquer
applied over a choice of stain colors. Our finish is not a "processed" finish,
but one that is subtly glowing with the warmth and patina of
a two hundred year old antique. All McGuire Family Furniture
is signed and dated. |
